Ganderbal, Sept 25:
Residents of Sarbal Sonamarg, a village long neglected in development projects, are determined to vote in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections only for candidates who are committed to addressing their local issues. Frustrated by years of inattention, the villagers are prioritizing infrastructure improvements, basic amenities, and overall development in their demands.
“People’s issues should be resolved here, that’s why we will vote,” said a determined voter from Ganderbal, voicing the sentiments shared by many in the region. Voters in Kangan expressed a similar sense of long-awaited opportunity. “We had been waiting for ten years for the voting to take place, wondering when we would be able to choose our representative who would address our issues,” shared a resident of Kangan, highlighting the decade-long wait for responsive governance.
Youth from Ganderbal underscored the significance of this election, stating that their votes will be directed toward candidates who focus on development and job opportunities. “This election is crucial for us; our demand is to bring growth and opportunities,” remarked a group of young voters, reflecting the widespread desire for meaningful change.
“This election is our chance for real change,” say Voters
