Theft case solved in Budgam, accused arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday solved theft case within 24 hours by arresting accused and recovered stolen property worth lakhs in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

A Police Spokesperson said, “Yesterday Police Station Chadoora received a complaint from one Khurshid Ahmad Dar 

S/O Ghulam Nabi Darb R/o Wadipora that during the intervening night, some unknown burglars have stolen a generator from his house.

Accordingly, case FIR *No.04/2023* u/s 457,380 IPC was registered at Police Station Chadoora, and the investigation was taken up.”

 

“During investigation, many suspects having past history were zeroed in and during questioning of the suspects, police got a clue and called one suspect namely Showket Ahmad Dar S/O Abdul Gani Dar R/O Brarigund Chadoora for questioning. During his questioning, he admitted his role in the theft and also admitted his involvement in many other thefts committed by him”, he said.

 

 

The spokesperson said that on his disclosure, following stolen goods worth lakhs were recovered, which include:-

1.Generator Hyndai =01 No.

2. Pesticide spray motor=01

3.Brush cutte=01 No

4. Inverter = 01 No

5. Battery = 01 No

6. Transformer =01 No.

7. Spray pipe= 01 No

8. Canvas pipe= 01 No

9. Polyethylene Canvas=01 No.

10. Sound Box= 01 No.

Further investigation into the matter is going on. More arrests & recoveries are expected.
