Srinagar, Mar 14: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday conducted searches at multiple locations in Kashmir, in a case related to the terrorist conspiracy.
The NIA, accompanied by police and CRPF men, raided several residential houses at multiple locations early on Tuesday, the officials said.
A senior NIA Official told Rising Kashmir that six locations in Kashmir were raided on Tuesday in case related to criminal conspiracy for carrying out terrorist and subversive activities by proscribed terrorist organizations and off-shoots, and their affiliates, on behalf of Pakistani commanders and terror handlers.
“Three places were raided in Kulgam, two in Pulwama and one in Shopian in south Kashmir and various incriminating materials including digital devices, SIM cards, and digital storage devices were seized from the searched premises,” he said.
The NIA official said during the searches conducted today, various incriminating materials such as digital devices, SIM cards, and digital storage devices etc. have been seized from the searched premises. Further investigation in the case continues,” he said.
“They are involved in carrying out terrorist attacks by using cyber-space in J&K, targeting minorities, security personnel and spreading communal disharmony. The case had been suo-moto registered as RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU on June 21, 2022 by NIA Police Station, Jammu,” NIA official said.
