Jammu, Jan 10:  Aam Aadmi Party’s Chairman of State Coordination Committee and former minister, Harsh Dev Singh on Tuesday said that Tarun Chugh of Bhartiya Janta Party is trying to divert attention of people by issuing statements on Punjab  attempting to hide failure of Bhartiya Janta Party in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said BJP has failed to restore democracy and statehood in J&K besides the public services delivery system being on a record low.

In his statement issued to Rising Kashmir, Singh said that Chug has issued a statement on Punjab which is nothing else than diverting the attention of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that Punjab is in safe hands of a pro-people and elected Government. He said reformative steps are being taken for welfare of people and health, education, power model as implemented in Delhi are being replicated in Punjab.

“BJP is on one hand worried with this pro-people reformative approach of AAP Government in Punjab and is on the other hand hiding its failure in J&K for which leaders are issuing statements on Punjab,” he added.

The AAP leader castigated BJP for its gross failure in J&K and said that restoration of statehood and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir is still a distant dream. He said that the bureaucratic setup headed by LG Administration is a proxy rule of BJP and it has failed the people who are eagerly waiting and aspiring for restoration of democracy.

Singh asked BJP’s Tarun Chug to stop issuing statements on other parts of the country and rather to focus on J&K and to take some steps for the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir.

” Everyone in Jammu and Kashmir is waiting and demanding for assembly elections for restoration of democracy and also to restore statehood and BJP should pay attention  to this eager demand.” He further said.
