Srinagar, Jan 10: Ahead of snowfall prediction in Kashmir, BJP senior leader and J&K spokesperson for party’s Minority Morcha, Hilal Jan has appealed to the UT administration to prepare well in advance for the situation which could impede normal life.
Jan in a statement to the media said: “one of the good virtues of good governance is public administrations preparing well in advance for any unfavorable situation”.
He further said that in the past administration was caught ill prepared to mitigate the suffering of people during the snowfall earlier.
“Quite often when Kashmir receives the winter’s major snowfall, the key organs expected to minimise disruptions to normal life are caught unawares and devoid of preparation”. he added.
The BJP leader appealed to the concerned officers to make necessary arrangements well in advance to prepare an action plan for the betterment of the general public.
“Preparedness is the key. I requested the administration to keep men and machinery ready to clear the snow on roads, immediate restoration of electricity and water supply,” Jan said.
