Jammu, Jan 12: The department of history at Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar organized an on-line symposium on National Youth Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and honor his contributions to the nation on Sunday.
The symposium aimed to inspire and educate students about Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, particularly his vision for the youth of India and their role in shaping the future of the country.
The event likely began with a brief introduction to Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings. The importance of National Youth Day in fostering national unity, social responsibility, and personal growth was highlighted. Prof Manmohan Singh Head Department of History GDC Ramnagar Presented formal welcome note and gave detail introduction about the event.
Faculty members and students have shared their perspectives on Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy. Discussions probably revolved around his emphasis on self-confidence, discipline, education, and the moral responsibility of youth in nation-building.
More than ten speakers Presented their views on the life and contribution of Swami Vivekananda. Mr Vinak Singh, Gagan Singh and Ajay Singh stood first, second and third in the symposium. The other participants were acknowledged with appreciation certificate.
The event likely concluded by Dr Zahid Ahmed Mir with reflections on how Swami Vivekananda’s teachings could continue to guide the youth in the present day. Emphasis would have been placed on implementing his ideas of strength, self-reliance, and social service in modern life.
The entire event was organized under the able guidance of Dr Bhavnaish Chand Anthal Principal Government Degree College (GDC) Ramanagar and supervision of Prof Manmohan Singh Head Department of History GDC Ramnagar.
