‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan’: IUST felicitates sanitation workers

Awantipora, Oct 03: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) on Thursday concluded its two-week “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan” campaign.
The closing ceremony, coordinated by NSS Coordinator Dr Tariq Ahmad Ganaie, was attended by Registrar Prof Abdul Wahid, Deputy Registrar S. Iqbal Qureshi, Proctor Dr Sheikh Jameel, staff and NSS volunteers, the university said in a press release issued here.
Prof Abdul Wahid, in his address, emphasised the importance of cleanliness in fostering a healthy society and commended the NSS volunteers for their efforts. Dr Ganaie highlighted the campaign’s activities, which included campus clean-up drives and awareness programs. The event concluded with a pledge to continue efforts towards cleanliness in both public and private spaces.
