Jammu, Jan 31: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bahu Constituency, Vikram Randhawa on Friday exhorted students to stay focused, disciplined and committed to their academic pursuits, reminding them that perseverance and hard work are a key to success. He encouraged them to set ambitious goals and work diligently to achieve them.
He was speaking while addressing the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Satwari via video conferencing from Shahdara district, Gandhinagar Constituency 61, Delhi, where he is actively engaged in the upcoming elections in Delhi.
Randhawa complimented the teachers for their dedication and efforts in organising a well-planned and heartfelt farewell function for the outgoing students. He acknowledged the role of educators in shaping young minds saying, “Such events not only celebrate academic achievements but also strengthen the bond between students and teachers.”
He said that beyond academics, such initiatives instill values of gratitude, respect, and camaraderie among students, preparing them for future challenges.
Randhawa encouraged the teachers to continue their unwavering commitment to guiding and mentoring students, ensuring that they receive the best possible support in their academic and personal growth.
Earlier, a grand farewell party was organised at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Satwari under the guidance of Principal Vandana Gupta. The event, hosted by Class 11 students, was a heartfelt tribute to their outgoing seniors, celebrating their journey and achievements.
A major highlight of the event was the “Ms. GGHSS Satwari” contest, where 22 contestants showcased their talents. Saima Mumtaz was crowned the prestigious title, while the first runner-up position was secured by a student from the Arts stream, and Malti claimed the second runner-up title.
Principal Vandana Gupta congratulated the winners and extended her best wishes to all students for their upcoming examinations. She motivated them to work hard and strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
The event also recognised outstanding achievers, as certificates were distributed to students who cleared the IIT pre-exams held in Madras. Some of the awardees were felicitated by Kumar Love Sir and Principal Vandana Gupta. The farewell celebration concluded with a joyous lunch, making it a day to cherish for students and faculty alike.
