The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh national highway remained closed for the second consecutive day today.
Official sources said that traffic on the highway was suspended yesterday due to fresh Snowfall and slippery road condition particularly at Zojila Pass, Shaitani Nallah.
They said a number of vehicles, scheduled to leave to their respective destinations, are stranded on the both sides of highway.
According to the reports, the traffic on the highway was affected for the second day due to fresh Snowfall and slippery road condition at Pani Matha, Mandir Mood, Bajri Nala along Zojila pass.
A Traffic Police sources said that the snow clearance operation was going on at Zojila Pass from Minamarg side. He further said that it is not possible for traffic to ply on the highway today.
