Srinagar, Apr 29: SKUAST Kashmir under ambit of SKUAST K Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship centre kick starts 3 days Faculty development Programme on Nurturing Excellence: Faculty development for Success” on Monday in the main campus of Sher e Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir with an aim to sensitize and mentor the young faculty members of university towards the arena of innovations and start-ups.
The event was chaired by Prof. Nazir A Ganai, Honourable Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K along with Dr. Mrutyunjay Saur, DG R&D and Innovation & CEO KIIT TBI, KIIT University, Prof. Shahardar, DSW SKUAST-K, Prof. Azmat A Khan, OSD to VC SKUAST K & Director SKIIE, Dr Namrata Misra, CEO of BCKIC & Advisor KIIT TBI, Dr. Rajiv Kangabam, Lead Manipur Technology Innovation HUB, Naveed Hamid, CEO SKIIE Centre SKUAST-K.
During the inaugural ceremony a Memorandum of Understanding between KIIT-TBI and SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation &Entrepreneurship centre was signed by authorities in presence of Honourable Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Kashmir to foster the culture of innovation, incubation and start-ups and bridge the gap between two incubators for larger interest of young minds and Innovators in both the regions.
Another MoU between SKUAST-K and ICAR-NBAGR was also signed by Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K Prof Nazir Ahmed Ganai and Director NBAGR Dr Gayandera Mishra to foster collaboration in the areas of student training and Postgraduate Research.
During 3 days long workshop, the experts will deliberate on topics like; 360-degree lens of Innovation and Incubation, Effective Grant writing techniques, funding opportunities, scientific writing, conduct pre-feasibility and how to execute ideas and team building.
Dr. Khalid Z Masoodi, Assistant Professor and Founder of cashmir bio-tech start-up proposed the Vote of thanks.
