SKUAST-K incubation centre conducts startup awareness program

Srinagar, Nov 1: SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre conducted a one-day awareness cum sensitization workshop on ‘Idea to Startup and Business Model Canvas Programme in collaboration with Govt Degree College Verinag under the sponsorship of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The program was conducted with an aim to sensitize and aware the young minds towards opportunities in Startups and how to Ideate new and novel concepts to convert them into viable and sustainable Startups in Future.
Chief Executive Officer, SKIIE Centre, Naveed Hamid delivered the keynote address on how to ideate and strategies to take ideas to next level followed by a session by the Director, Planning and Monitoring, Prof Haroon Naik on the Role of Innovations.
The session was attended by 60 unemployed youth from far-flung areas of  Dooru Shahbad where a few young minds instantly shared their new ideas with the expert speakers for mentorship. 
The live practical Ideation Awareness Session were appreciated by Principal Govt Degree College, Verinag and all participants and staff.
Principal Degree College appreciated the efforts of Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazir A Ganai and Director Research and Nodal Officer MSME Prof Haroon R Naik, CEO, SKIIE Centre, Naveed Hamid for conducting such a needed and required Program for creating and building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
