SKUAST-K holds skill training on ICT tools for SSEs

Srinagar, Feb 27: A weeklong skill training programme ‘Learning Tools of ICT for Survival & Growth of Small Scale Enterprises’ concluded on Monday at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir’s Faculty of Fisheries, Rangill Campus.
The training was organised by the SKUAST-K’s School of Agricultural Economics & HBM under the university’s SKIIE and sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Dean FoFy Prof FA Bhat was the chief guest and other faculty from FoFy included Prof Oyas Asimi, Prof Irfan A Khan, Prof Gowhar Bilal, Dr Inayattullah Chesti, Dr Tariq Hussain Bhat, Dr MM Kirmani, Dr Omar Fayaz Khan, SAE&HBM, FoH.
At the outset, Dr Omar Fayaz Khan gave an overview of the seven-day programme and spoke about how ICT tools and their handling could be a part of self-business. He informed the participants about the structure of various sessions and invited resource persons for various technical sessions.
Prof FA Bhat in his brief deliberation unveiled innovation and startup opportunities in the advanced IT sector. He talked about the availability of vast business opportunities in ICT-backed AI & sensor technologies in the data-driven economic sector.
The trainees were felicitated along with resource persons and coordinators with the distribution of certificates. The event was coordinated by Dr M Mubashir Kachroo along with the students of the Faculty of Fisheries. The valedictory concluded with a vote of thanks by MM Kirmani.
