Srinagar, Nov 02: Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura has appealed to patients visiting the institute to make optimal use of online appointment system for their ease and to manage huge rush.
PRO SKIMS said that over the years, the institute has encouraged patients to take full advantage of its online appointment system to streamline consultations and reduce wait times.
“We reiterate and request the general masses, who need to visit SKIMS for treatment in any speciality except for General Medicine and General Surgery, to make optimal use of the online appointment system. Patients need to first register at SKIMS MRD counter and then they can book an appointment online,” the PRO said.
The platform allows patients to schedule appointments with specialists efficiently, ensuring timely access to healthcare services and minimizing congestion within the hospital premises.
“By utilizing the online system, SKIMS aims to enhance patient experience, providing them with more convenience and saving valuable time for both patients and healthcare providers,” she said.
The hospital management has also assured patients of continuous improvements in digital services to make healthcare more accessible and organized across the institute.
The PRO said this is in continuation to the repeated appeals regarding use of the online appointment system by the general public.
“Online Appointment system is a convenient mode for patients to save their time and also prevent overcrowding in OPD areas. Any patient facing any difficulty can contact OPD incharge at Room no. 133. We request all to co-operate and help us to serve you better,” the PRO added.
The initiative aims to manage overcrowding at OPD counters. “The system is already in place, and people should use it to save time and benefit from a more efficient process.”
