SIU Srinagar presents charge-sheet against two active terrorists

Srinagar, June 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Srinagar Wednesday presented a chargesheet against two active terrorists and a terrorist who has been killed.
 
According to a police spokesman, SIU Srinagar presented a chargesheet before the Court of NIA Srinagar in case FIR No under various sections and 38 UA (P) Act of Police Station,Soura against two active terrorists and one killed terrorist.
 
He said on May 24, 2022, unknown terrorists fired upon one police personnel namely SaifullahQadri and his minor daughter SafaQadri, a resident of Malik ShabSoura Srinagar, in which police personnel got martyred and his minor daughter was injured.
“During the course of investigation, three terrorists identified as Basit Ahmed Dar, a resident of RedwaniQaimouKulgam, MominGulzar Mir of Firdous Colony Eidgah Srinagar and Adil Ahmed Parrayof BadergundGanderbal were found involved in the terror crime case,” he said.
The spokesman further said that besides, a scooty bearing registration number JKO2CB-1268 used in the terrorist attack was also seized. 
“One of the accused terrorists namely Adil Ahmed Parray was killed in an encounter with Srinagar Police in Sangam area on June 12, 2022,” he said.
The spokesman said that the other two involved terrorists are still active and linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF.
“However, the investigation shall continue under section 173 (8) CrPC,” he said.
