Anantnag, July 07 – In a remarkable display of dedication, Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, and the designated Nodal Officer for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 on the Pahalgam Axis, embarked on an extensive on-foot tour from Chandanwari to the Holy Cave.
His purpose was to meticulously appraise the pilgrimage track and gather first-hand feedback from Yatris regarding the facilities in place.
During the tour, Dr. Singla engaged with hundreds of Yatris, focusing on evaluating the track’s suitability for travel and ensuring essential safety measures at critical locations. He personally engaged with service providers such as pony wallahs, pithus, and bhandara owners, emphasizing the importance of their role in serving the Yatris and ensuring their comfort throughout the arduous journey.
