Anantnag, July 07 – In a remarkable display of dedication, Dr. Piyush Singla, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department, and the designated Nodal Officer for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 on the Pahalgam Axis, embarked on an extensive on-foot tour from Chandanwari to the Holy Cave.
His purpose was to meticulously appraise the pilgrimage track and gather first-hand feedback from Yatris regarding the facilities in place.
During the tour, Dr. Singla engaged with hundreds of Yatris, focusing on evaluating the track’s suitability for travel and ensuring essential safety measures at critical locations. The Nodal Officer’s interactions with the Yatris yielded resounding positive feedback regarding the arrangements made for their convenience and well-being, serving as a testament to the meticulous planning and implementation by the authorities involved.
In addition to his interactions with pilgrims, Dr. Singla held comprehensive discussions with various stakeholders, including security forces, mountain rescue teams, and fire-fighting teams. He thoroughly reviewed the medical arrangements along the Yatra track and expressed satisfaction with the extensive facilities in place. Noteworthy was the use of RFID technology, which enables real-time monitoring of every Yatri, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the pilgrimage.
Dr. Singla scrutinized the quality of way-side amenities, toilet facilities, cleanliness of the track, and arrangements made in the camps. He personally engaged with service providers such as pony wallahs, pithus, and bhandara owners, emphasizing the importance of their role in serving the Yatris and ensuring their comfort throughout the arduous journey.
The unwavering commitment of Dr. Piyush Singla to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra reflects the government’s dedication to providing a safe and enriching pilgrimage experience for devotees. Through his meticulous assessment of the facilities and interactions with service providers, he demonstrated a proactive approach in addressing the needs of the Yatris by employing advanced technologies and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality.
Dr. Singla’s on-foot tour concludes with the assurance that the authorities are fully prepared to meet the challenges of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.
