People’s Democratic Party Legislative Party leader and MLA Pulwama, Waheed ur Rehman Parra on Saturday expressed serious concern over the shutting down Special cells for women in Jammu and Kashmir.

He urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Health and Edu Minister Sakina itoo, and Home Minister Amit Shah to consider the demand of restoration of special cells for women in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, Waheed para wrote, “Shutting down Special Cells for Women in J&K is a grave mistake.”

“These cells have helped hundreds of women survive violence, and we continue to receive calls for its restoration. Urging  @CM_JnK @sakinaitoo @HMOIndia to consider the demand.”he added.
