Ganderbal, May 18: A 32-year-old shopkeeper, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, succumbed to grievous injuries following a knife attack in the Peerpora Kachan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The incident has sparked concern and grief within the local community.
According to official sources, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, son of Gh Hassan Dar and a resident of Peerpora Kachan, was severely wounded in the alleged knife attack. He was initially taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura. Despite the efforts of the medical team, Dar was declared brought dead.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident and taken cognizance of the case. Details regarding the motive behind the attack or any suspects involved remain under investigation.
Meanwhile the tragic death of Fayaz Ahmad Dar has left the community in shock.
