SRINAGAR, July 08:In an impressive function organized by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, the School Education Department honored the NEET Qualifiers and 10th/12th Toppers of Kashmir Division for their splendid achievements. The event took place in the auditorium of GHSS Kothibagh and was attended by esteemed dignitaries, educators, parents, and students.
The program commenced with cultural performances by students from GHSS Kothibagh, SP HSS, and GHSS Nawakadal, captivating the audience with their talent and creativity. The distinguished guests, including Shri Alok Kumar (IRS), Principal Secretary SED, Mr. Naseer Ahmed Wani, Special Secretary SED, Mr. Deep Raj Kanethia PD Samagra, CEOs, Principals of some Higher Secondary Schools, addressed the gathering and applauded the exceptional achievements of the students.
A total of 122 Computer Tabs were awarded to the NEET qualifiers and 10th/12th toppers, enabling them to enhance their learning and keep pace with the competitive world. The students were also presented with Certificates of Merit & Achievement by the Department, acknowledging their remarkable accomplishments.
Alok Kumar, in his speech, emphasized the importance of staying connected to their alma mater and encouraged the achievers to pass on their legacy to inspire other students. He urged them to give back to society and acknowledge the crucial role played by their teachers and parents in their success. Additionally, he advised them to guide future aspirants by sharing information about the colleges they are applying to and making full use of the Prime Minister’s Scholarship, which offers support to high-achieving students in various ways. Sh. Alok Kumar commended all the achievers, teachers, parents, and the School Education Department for this outstanding success.
DSEK Dr. Tassaduq Hussain Mir, while addressing the gathering, stressed the significance of hard work and highlighted that there are no shortcuts to success. He encouraged the achievers to serve as mentors to others, inspiring them to attain similar accomplishments.
This year, a significant number of students from Government Schools qualified for NEET, and many others secured top positions in the Class 10th and 12th examinations, showcasing the excellence and potential of the region’s educational institutions.
