JAMMU, Feb 16: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s impending visit to Jammu drawing closer, security measures have been significantly ramped up in the city and Samba district. Teams from the National Security Guards (NSG) and Special Protection Group (SPG) have arrived to oversee the security arrangements, aiming for a comprehensive approach.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jammu on February 20th, where he will address a large public rally at MAM Stadium Jammu.
In addition to the deployment of central security agencies, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and the CRPF have also heightened security measures. Additional forces have been stationed in and around MAM Stadium-Jammu, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to speak.
Stringent security protocols have been implemented at all entry and exit points of Jammu, with thorough vehicle checks being conducted.
Today, teams from various security agencies inspected MAM Stadium in Jammu and assumed control of adjacent areas to ensure the security of the PM’s rally.
Surinder Raina, SHO Nowabad, stated, “Security measures have been tightened to the fullest extent in and around MAM Stadium and the surrounding areas of Jammu City.”
During his visit to J&K on February 20th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate several significant projects, including the prestigious AIIMS at Vijaypur in Samba district, the highest railway bridge over Chenab in Reasi district, the Devika project at Udhampur, IIM Jammu, and the Shahpur-Kandi Dam project, among others.
