Srinagar, Apr 11: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir hosted two distinguished Agricultural scientists this week for key collaborative and monitoring initiatives. During his visit, Dr. Srivastava held detailed discussions with the Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-K, focusing on avenues for joint research projects on chickpea, capacity building, and technology transfer. He also interacted with scientists at various research stations, including the prestigious Saffron Research Station, where he appreciated the advancements made in saffron cultivation and value addition. Adding to the momentum, Dr. Aditya Pratap, Project Coordinator, All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Kharif Pulses, visited DARS to monitor the on-going research and field activities under the pulse improvement programmes. Ashraf Bhat, Associate Director Research (ADR), DARS, Prof. S.A. Dar, Prof. Ajaz A. Lone, and Dr. Latief Ahmad. The team collectively assessed the research activities, offering valuable suggestions for further strengthening the pulse research and development initiatives. Both visits mark an important step towards reinforcing SKUAST-K’s commitment to agricultural innovation and international research collaboration. Vice-Chancellor Prof N.
