Srinagar, Dec 11: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Jammu and Kashmir is set to host the Grand Finale of “Toycathon 2024” in two phases into the Jammu and Kashmir union territory
In the Kashmir valley the Grand Final will be conducted on December 16 at Srinagar and in Jammu division the grand finale will be held on December 19, 2024 with the theme on “Promotion of innovative ideas and revival of local heritage”.
An official from JKSCERT informed Rising Kashmir that 180 students from 20 districts across Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the Grand Finale of Toycathon 2024 initiative.
“Toycathon 2024 is organizing this event to encourage student participation across three categories: Category I for grades 6-8, Category II for grades 9-10, and Category III for grades 11-12,” the official said.
He said that three students from each category have been selected to compete in the Grand Finale, resulting in a total of 9 students from each district of Jammu and Kashmir participating in this grand event.
“The Grand Finale for the Kashmir division will be held in Srinagar on December 16, 2024, where 90 students from 10 districts will showcase their toys in an exhibition,” the official added.
He said that the Grand Finale for the Jammu division is scheduled for December 19, 2024, in Jammu district, where another 90 students from 10 districts of the Jammu division will participate and display their toys at this significant event.
