Srinagar, Nov 24: In an adroit initiative that promises to reshape educational leadership in Kashmir, the second phase of the Oasis Jyotirdhar Movement workshop concluded with remarkable success at SCERT Kashmir Division. The three-day transformative program, attended by Government Higher Secondary School Principals from across Kashmir Division, has set a new benchmark in educational leadership development.
Under the visionary leadership of Commissioner Secretary Education and the expert guidance of SCERT Director Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, the workshop introduced innovative approaches to educational leadership.” The workshop facilities and the participant arrangements and attendance was closely monitored by Joint director SCERT-KD,Shri Roshan Lal. Distinguished facilitators Anuradha Mehta and Sidarth Mehta led the participants through what many described as a “life-changing experience
The workshop’s unique focus on emotional intelligence and character development marked a departure from traditional leadership training. Participants, aptly named “Jyotirdhars” (torch bearers), were immersed in sessions that seamlessly blended professional development with personal growth. The facilitators masterfully conducted sessions on collaboration and relationship building, providing practical strategies for creating harmonious work environments.
“What sets this workshop apart is its holistic approach to leadership,” remarked Mushtaq Ahmad from the School Leadership Academy, whose exceptional coordination skills earned special recognition. A resolution of gratitude was extended to Director School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir (KAS) for prioritizing the officers’ deputation to the workshop.
The program’s success was further ensured by Director Oasis Jyotidhar Movement in Kashmir Mr. Mir Mohammad Gulzar (Ex.HoD) DIET Budgam, who provided comprehensive support throughout the workshop to make it successful. Ex.CEO Bandipora Mr. Mohammad Amin Baigh was also present and inspired the participants through his magical expression and inspiration.
The impact was immediately evident as participating principals emerged with renewed vigor and commitment. Many expressed how the workshop’s focus on heart-centered education and character building had transformed their perspective on leadership. The principals unanimously pledged to implement these learnings in both their professional and personal spheres, promising to create more nurturing and productive educational environments.
