Pahalgam, July 02: Amidst an atmosphere brimming with excitement and devotion, pilgrims for the Shri Amarnath Yatra set off from the Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam . With their spirits lifted high, the pilgrims embarked on a spiritual journey filled with enthusiasm and reverence towards the holy Amarnath cave.

The air resonated with the resounding chants of “Bom Bom Bhole” and “Her Her Mahadev” as the pilgrims chanted religious slogans, immersing themselves in the divine ambiance. Their hearts overflowed with joy and anticipation as they took their first steps towards the sacred destination.

Kamlesh Patel, a pilgrim from Chhattisgarh, experienced an overwhelming sense of happiness upon encountering Baba Barfani, the revered deity of the Amarnath cave.

“As I embark on my maiden pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave, I am filled with immense joy. The atmosphere here is truly remarkable, and I am deeply impressed by the meticulous arrangements made by the authorities,” Patel expressed, his voice brimming with gratitude.

Patel emphasized the significance of the pilgrimage, stating that along with paying their respects to the sacred site, their prayers would be dedicated to the progress and peace of the country. He also encouraged fellow pilgrims to embrace environmental consciousness and utilize the administrative booths and facilities, carrying out their pilgrimage responsibly.

Lakshmi Soni, another pilgrim hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, radiated happiness and confidence as she spoke about the journey ahead.

“Our hearts are filled with joy, and there is no trace of fear among us. The authorities have extended their complete cooperation, ensuring our safety and well-being throughout the pilgrimage,” Soni exclaimed, her enthusiasm palpable.

Soni expressed her hope that more devotees would receive the divine call from Baba Barfani, enabling them to embark on this sacred pilgrimage. She also praised the seamless experience at the base camp and eagerly anticipated a pleasant and fulfilling ride to Amarnath, eagerly anticipating the spiritual revelations that lay ahead.

Dr. Fakhrudin Hamid, the Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, shared his thoughts during the flag-off ceremony, acknowledging the pilgrims’ fervor and devotion.

“The pilgrims have come forward with a profound message of unity, and it is my hope that they will return with the same message of harmony. This year, we witnessed the overwhelming support of the locals, who came out in large numbers to greet and assist the pilgrims. Their display of camaraderie sends a positive message to all,” Dr. Hamid stated.

He urged the pilgrims to abide by the guidelines and precautions set forth by the Shrine Board and Health Department, ensuring a safe and secure journey to the Holy Cave. Dr. Hamid also applauded the immense support extended by the locals and service providers, emphasizing the need to expand this unique assistance system, forging stronger bonds between the pilgrims and the local community.

As the first group of enthusiastic pilgrims sets off on their journey to the holy Amarnath cave, their unwavering devotion and infectious enthusiasm pave the way for a spiritually uplifting pilgrimage season. With the authorities’ meticulous arrangements and the pilgrims’ dedication, this year’s Amarnath Yatra promises to be a remarkable and transformative experience for all involved.
