Srinagar, Jul 26: National Conference (NC) General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Saturday met several delegations at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha here, who raised issues ranging from civic concerns to development-related grievances.Sagar, the MLA from Khanyar constituency, assured them of timely resolution and promised to take up the matters with the relevant departments.As part of its ongoing outreach initiative, the NC is actively engaging with the public at the grassroots level to understand and address their concerns, the party said in a statement issued here. Senior leaders and cabinet ministers are holding regular public interactions across the region to ensure that voices from every corner are heard and responded to.During the meeting, Sagar joined the chorus with other party functionaries in seconding the Chief Minister’s call for a transparent time-bound inquiry into the killing of Mohd Parvez in Niki Tawi, Jammu. He termed the incident “deeply unfortunate and regrettable”, stressing that the use of force by law enforcement must be responsible and proportionate.Reiterating the need for accountability, he supported the call for a transparent and time-bound investigation. “Incidents like these have caused lasting damage in the past. We cannot afford a repeat,” Sagar said.The NC leader extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace for the departed soul.Provincial President (Kashmir) Showkat Mir, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, party’s provincial and district functionaries were present on the occasion.
