As a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, South Asia Center for Peace and Peoples Empowerment in collaboration with Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Kulgam organised an event to observe “Meri Maati Mera Desh-Mitti Ko Naman Veroon Ka Vandan” at Kulgam on Saturday.

The event brought together transporters, including drivers, owners and people from other walks of life. The event was inaugurated by, ARTO Kulgam, Abrar Ahmad Kripak. “Meri Maati Mera Desh”, which commenced on August 9, 2023, is a poignant homage to the valiant men and women who have laid down their lives for the nation.

The event, organized jointly by SACPPE and ARTO Office Kulgam, resonated with patriotism and gratitude. The theme of the campaign was prominently displayed on public transport vehicles, creating awareness amongst the masses.

During the event, an engaging exchange of thoughts and ideas occurred among the attendees, primarily transport drivers and owners. Their insightful contributions sought to ensure the success of similar endeavors in the future. The campaign’s essence lies in uniting the community under the banner of love for the motherland.

Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Kulgam said the impactful event infused a sense of patriotism and nationalistic fervor within the hearts of the people.
