Srinagar, Aug 17: Patron of the Rashtriya Muslim Manch and renowned intellectual Dr Indresh Kumar on Sunday visited the historic Ziyarat Baba Zainuddin Rishi (RA) in Srinagar. He was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi. The delegation paid obeisance at the shrine and offered prayers for the welfare of all humanity.Prof Shahid Akhter, the officiating Chairman of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and the National Convener of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, also accompanied Dr Kumar during the visit.Later, speaking to the media, Dr Indresh Kumar expressed his happiness regarding the development activities at the Sufi shrine. “These shrines are symbols of harmony and love. We are pleased to see the progress being made at these spiritual sites under the leadership of Dr Darakhshan,” he said.Dr Kumar said, “Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of India, and India is the crown of the world. ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara’ is a reality, as this country belongs to all faiths equally, without discrimination. Brotherhood, harmony, and peace are what we all seek at such revered places.”He added that efforts are ongoing to re-establish an era of lasting peace, prosperity, and brotherhood in the region.Dr Darakhshan Andrabi expressed her gratitude for Dr Kumar’s visit, highlighting his significant contributions to the welfare of Muslim communities across the country. She also appreciated the development work at the shrine.Board Member Syed Mohammed Hussain and Executive Magistrate of the Waqf Board, Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, were present during the visit.
