Speaking with Rising Kashmir Touseef Raina expressing the aspirations of youth from the region, Raina highlighted their ardent desire to serve the nation through the civil service.
Raina laminated a pivotal concern brought forth by many aspiring candidates: the withdrawal of the five-year age relaxation previously granted to Jammu and Kashmir candidates in UPSC examinations. Despite being inspired by the transformative changes brought about in 2019, these hopefuls now feel their opportunities constrained due to the absence of this crucial provision.
Citing several challenges faced by the youth in the J&K UT, Raina advocated for the temporary reinstatement of age relaxation to address their plight. He stressed that such a reinstatement would positively impact a vast number of youth, providing them with renewed opportunities to contribute to the nation-building process.
Raina asserted that reinstating age relaxation in UPSC examinations for Jammu and Kashmir candidates would be a visionary and inspiring step.
