“Rain, Snow Expected in J&K’s Higher Reaches from March 26-27”: MeT

Srinagar, March 24 : The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting rain and snowfall in the region from March 25-27.

According to the forecast, March 24 will be generally cloudy with dry weather. However, from March 25, there is a possibility of light rain/snow in higher reaches at scattered places, mainly over North and Central Kashmir.

A spell of light to moderate rain/snow is expected at many places, mainly over North and Central Kashmir, from the late afternoon of March 26 to the evening of March 27.

The weather is expected to remain dry from March 28 to 31, and also from April 1 to 3.

In view of the weather forecast, travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to plan accordingly and follow administrative and traffic advisories.

Farmers are also advised to suspend farm operations during March 26-27, and there is a possibility of thunder with gusty winds at a few places during this period.
