Speaking at the 2nd Annual Day function of New Jersey Preschool Kunjwani at Teacher Auditorium Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Bhalla quoted studies indicating that children taught at an early age have fewer behavioral problems and can develop improved social skills.
He stressed the importance of teacher-parent synergy for the sound academic foundation of children, emphasizing that the interpersonal relationship between the two should be an important component of the learning process. “We hope that schools would pay equal attention to extracurricular activities, sports, and personality development, crucial for the overall growth of students,” he said.
Grooming young minds, the JKPCC leader stated, is a crucial challenge, and he appreciated the growing role of the private sector in education. He urged parents to play a supportive role while emphasizing the significant role of teachers as guides, philosophers, and role models, based on trust.
Expressing happiness over the growth of the school, Raman exuded confidence in its missionary spirit. He applauded the distinction achieved by students in various disciplines and encouraged them to maintain excellence in the years to come. He described the Annual Day function as a special occasion for students and their parents, fostering opportunities for young people to demonstrate their talents in various spheres of activity.
Highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities for overall growth and personality development, the Congress leader advised students to concentrate on sports alongside academics. “There is a need for enhanced interpersonal relationships between teachers, students, and parents, particularly at the basic schooling level,” he said.
Bhalla urged parents to have frequent interactions with teachers to monitor their children’s development regularly. He hoped that the management would maintain the best academic standards and shape the destiny of children according to the needs of the fast-changing world. He also emphasized the importance of inculcating moral values among students and the proactive role of parents in their child’s education.
Raman commended the role of private schools in spreading education, expressing confidence that their efforts would contribute to higher levels of literacy in rural areas.
