Srinagar, Mar 02: Peoples Conference on Saturday welcomed Bismah Meer, a youth political and social activist, into its party ranks. She was welcomed by the party president Sajad Gani Lone.
In a statement issued by the party, the PC Spokesperson said, “Bismah’s passion for driving positive change among the youth is commendable. Our resonance with the youth is evident, as we have always considered them the driving force behind positive change. Today’s joining is a testament to that, where energetic youth, with their determination and strength, aspire to contribute to the betterment of society.”
Bisma expressed sincere gratitude to the party leadership for providing her with a platform to amplify youth concerns. “The dedication of the Peoples Conference to the youth of J&K has inspired me to join and work under its stalwart leadership. I believe this party is unique in its recognition of young voices, not only listening to them but also valuing their potential to bring about significant change,” she expressed.
PC Spokesperson Adnan Ashraf Mir and Youth President Mudasir Karim were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, according to a separate statement issued by the party, more than 200 political activists hailing from diverse political backgrounds joined the People’s Conference in Tujjar Sharief, Rafiabad, on Saturday.
“The event saw a vibrant gathering as the new members were warmly welcomed by PC Senior Vice President Abdul Gani Vakil,” the statement said. District President Baramulla Asif Lone and Provisional Secretary Irfan Mattoo were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Vakil expressed confidence in the growing support for PC, saying, “Individuals from all walks of life are aligning with the party due to its proven capability in delivering dignity and development to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
He urged the newly enrolled members to actively contribute towards strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and to effectively communicate the vision and mission of the PC to the masses.
Vakil further asserted that the party leadership will continue their efforts to empower the local populace, ensuring they access the opportunities they rightfully deserve, thereby enhancing their quality of life and allowing them to live with dignity.
