Srinagar, Dec 02: Authorities at Public Works (R&B) Department on Saturday expressed concern over the non-compliance of numerous engineers who are either not regularly updating their profiles or have submitted inaccurate information on the JKPW-Online Management, Monitoring and Accounting System (JKPWDOMAS) portal. Failure to adhere to this directive may result in disciplinary action against them, officials said.
In compliance with an order issued by Dr. Zeba Suléman, Under Secretary to the government Public Works (R&B) Department has issued a notice stating that JKPWDOMAS portal implementation by the department has become imperative.
“The primary objective of JKPWDOMAS is to maintain readily available, up-to-date information on all employees under the establishment of the PW(R&B) Department. Through this notice, all officers and officials associated with the PW(R&B) Department are strongly urged to update their profiles on the JKPWDOMAS portal comprehensively, including the latest posting details,” it said.
The department has also warned that failure to adhere to this directive may result in disciplinary action against non-compliant officials and officers.
Furthermore, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) are advised to meticulously verify the details uploaded on JKPWDOMAS in comparison to the service book of employees, it said.
Notice further states that any discrepancies found in personal information may lead to a withholding of pay dues until corrected information is provided by the respective employee or engineer.
The processing of regularization and promotion cases will not proceed for employees or engineers whose information is not updated on JKPWDOMAS, it said.
This comprehensive directive aims to ensure the accuracy and currency of employee information within the JKPWDOMAS portal, promoting transparency and accountability within the PW(R&B) Department.
According to official records, the Public Works (R&B) Department has consistently issued circulars as reminders to engineers, emphasizing the importance of adhering to specified procedures.
Previously, the department specifically directed eligible engineers, slated for advancement to higher posts and regularization, to timely submit essential documents, including Annual Performance Reports (APRs) and Vigilance Clearance status.
The circular emphasized that it is the responsibility of the respective engineers to proactively upload the necessary documents on JKPWDOMS well in advance of their placement or assignment.
“Failure to comply with this requirement would result in the non-entertainment of their claims for placement or assignment to the next higher post. In such cases, the department clarified that the next eligible candidate in terms of seniority would be considered for the position,” it added.
