Katra, June 05: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted a thorough inspection of arrangements in Katra on Thursday ahead of the scheduled public meeting by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6.
During the review, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised ensuring the smooth conduct of the event and directed officials to implement strict security protocols, comprehensive safety measures, and seamless coordination across all departments.
Prime Minister Modi is set to dedicate several landmark projects to the nation, including the iconic Chenab Bridge—the tallest railway bridge in the world—the country’s first cable-stayed Anji rail bridge, and the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.
“Dedication of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link by Prime Minister Narendra Modi marks a historic leap for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. J&K is stronger and more prosperous than ever, witnessing unprecedented growth under the leadership of Modi. The inauguration and foundation stone laying of key infrastructure projects exemplify his commitment to ensuring speedy and inclusive development in the region,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
He further noted that the much-anticipated inauguration of the Chenab and Anji rail bridges, along with the flag-off of the Vande Bharat trains by the Prime Minister, will be a historic milestone for the nation, shaping the future of Jammu & Kashmir and its citizens.
