Major relief for power consumers, daily wagers promised
Amit Shah to release BJP’s J&K Election manifesto today

Jammu, Sept 5: The BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) has announcedits election manifesto for the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Assembly elections, promising significant relief for power consumers and support for daily wage workers.
The manifesto received approval from Prime Minister NarendraModi and will be officially released by Union Home Minister Amit Shah tomorrow, September 7, at 4 pm from Hotel Anutham.
According to sources close to the party, the manifesto includes substantial measures aimed at easing the burden on power consumers in J&K.
“In our election manifesto for the Assembly elections in J&K, we have promised a major relief for the power consumers,” a BJP source confirmed.
The manifesto also outlines commitments to address the concerns of daily wage workers, including considerations for their regularization. The BJP’s manifesto drafting committee engaged extensively with local residents across various Assembly segments to incorporate their feedback into the document.
The drafting committee, chaired by former Deputy Chief Minister DrNirmal Singh, was tasked with gathering public suggestions before finalising the manifesto. After thorough deliberations, the manifesto was submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for approval and was sanctioned today.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the finalised manifesto during his visit to Jammu on Friday, marking a key event in the BJP’s election campaign.
On the first day of his visit, Shah will release the party manifesto at 4 pm here, the leader added.Later in the evening, he will chair a meeting with party leaders and meet delegations of party workers.Shah will officially launch the BJP’s campaign from Jammu, where he is scheduled to address a rally in the city on Saturday, he said.
Jammu district, which has 11 assembly constituencies, holds significant importance for the BJP. The party secured nine of these seats in the 2014 elections, contributing to its total tally of 25.
Shah’s launch of the campaign from Jammu is aimed at reassuring the people of the region about the BJP’s commitment to their welfare and development.
Security has been tightened in and around Jammu ahead of Shah’s visit, officials said. Multi-tier security arrangements have been made at two venues, including the media centre set up by the BJP at a Hotel Anuthamin the Channi area, they added.
