BJP President J&K Unit Sat Sharma on Tuesday said that there is a clear wave in favour of BJP in entire length and breadth of Kashmir, which is visible on ground as more and more people areo joining the party with each passing day.
While welcoming back Farooq Ganderbali, a prominent political and nationalist activist from Kashmir, into the party fold, he said even our old activists, who had left the party in the past, too are coming back,” he said.
Sharma said that Farooq Ganderbali had served BJP as BJYM Kashmir President from 1998 to 2003. Later, he contested the assembly election from Ganderbal in 2008 as independent candidate against Omar Abdullah.
His rejoining BJP after 20 years marks a renewed wave of support for the party in Kashmir, which reaffirms his commitment to the party’s vision of development, stability, and peace in the region.
Sharma further said that his return to BJP comes at a time when a large number of people in Kashmir are stepping forward to align with the party, signaling their trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s policies for Jammu and Kashmir.
