Pulwama, May 21: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) organised a youth engagement and social media meet in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, focusing on strengthening grassroots connections and addressing key issues.
The meeting was hosted by District President G.M. Shahoora, who emphasised the importance of connecting with the masses.
PDP leader Zuhaib Yousf Mir, in his address, accused the National Conference of failing to fulfil promises outlined in their manifesto.
He accused the NC of being war-mongers and tacitly aligning with the BJP. Mir called out the Chief Minister for “inaction” on the pressing issue of unemployment. There is a need for direct engagement with the youth at the ground level to address their concerns effectively, he stressed.
Bashir Beigh, another prominent PDP leader, spoke about the importance of fortifying the party’s presence at the grassroots level and building stronger connections with young people to drive meaningful change.
The meeting underscored PDP’s commitment to empowering youth, addressing unemployment, and fostering direct dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the party said.
