Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) additional spokesperson and Youth general secretary Zuhaib Yousuf Mir on Thursday expressed surprise over not issuing dearness allowance in favor of the government employees from January this year.

He said that the government had announced to issue the dearness allowance of its employees as per the central scale however, by not keeping its promise; the government has in fact cheated and disrespected its employees.

Zuhaib Mir also criticized the government for not issuing the GP fund and pension of its employees despite the fact that the Eid-ul-Fitr is round the corner.

He added that the business community of Kashmir was already under distress due to the anti-people policies of the government and now the government employees are also being made to suffer due to one or the other reasons.

The government employees feel even more suffocated because they have been banned from saying anything against the government.

The government employees are living in such a situation where they feel themselves the most neglected, suppressed and victimized.

PDP spokesperson urged upon the governor administration to keep its own promise of issuing the dearness allowance of the government employees as per the central scale as soon as possible.

He also urged the releasing of the GP fund and pension of the government employees so that they can meet the Eid expenditures easily.(KNS)
