Srinagar, Feb 21:In a significant meeting held at Raj Bhawan, Jammu, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha convened with a 20-member delegation representing the Padari Tribe. Led by Sunil Sharma, former Minister, the delegation expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and the UT Administration led by Lt Governor for granting Scheduled Tribe status to the Padari tribe.
The delegation members emphasized that this historic decision marks a crucial step towards the socio-economic empowerment of the Padari community. They believe that this recognition will create a conducive environment for the tribe to actively contribute to the development endeavors of Jammu and Kashmir as well as the nation at large.
In response, Lt Governor Sinha reiterated the commitment of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the inclusive development of all sections of society, guided by the principle of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, Development for all). He emphasized that the administration’s goal is to foster an inclusive and equitable society, ensuring that marginalized communities receive the benefits of national development.
