Jammu, May 23: A grand Tiranga Yatra was organised on Friday in Ward No. 3, old city Jammu, under the leadership of former councillor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Narottam Sharma to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army.
The event witnessed the presence of Jammu East MLA Bhai Yudhveer Sethi and Mandal President Adarsh Jathiyal as chief guests,a statement issued here said.
Ward President Amit Khanna, along with all his booth heads, actively participated in the rally, which was filled with patriotic energy and enthusiasm.
During the yatra, there was strong mention of ‘Operation Sindoor’, which speakers said is not just a military action, but a symbol of India’s self-respect, justice, and national pride.
The energetic youth said it reflects the spirit of today’s India, where every citizen stands ready to defend the nation’s honour, the statement said, adding, “People also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying the country has made it clear that blood and water cannot flow together anymore.”
Today’s India, Narotam said, gives answers not just through words, but with firm resolve and courage.
He saidthe yatra inspired strong patriotic feelings among the people and showed their unity in support of the armed forces and the nation.
Others who were present to grace the rally was East mandal vice President Sanjeev Verma, Ram lubhaya,Rajesh Nischel, Sanjay Mengi, Sarooj Gupta and kailash Chowdhary, Sanjay Abrol and Pawan Sharma.
