Budgam, Feb 21: In the wake of snowfall and slippery road conditions, the administration in Khansahib has issued a directive urging drivers to equip their vehicles with anti-skid chains before embarking on journeys to the scenic destination of Doodhpathri in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Tariq Ahmad, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Khansahib, said all drivers must ensure the installation of anti-skid chains on their vehicles given the prevailing snowfall and slippery road conditions.
He said only vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains and 4×4 vehicles would be permitted to proceed towards Doodhpathri. “Travelers planning trips to Doodhpathri are advised to comply with the safety directives and equip their vehicles adequately to navigate the snow-covered roads safely,” Ahmad said.
