Jammu, Mar 12: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday clarified that there is currently no proposal for a comprehensive strategy or plan akin to the Rehbar-e-Taleem policy being considered within the Industries and Commerce Department.
In response to a query from MLA Mehraj Malik during the Assembly session, the Minis-ter in charge of the Industries and Commerce Department stated that an Industrial Es-tate named Dandi Bhaderwah, covering an area of 53.47 Kanals, is operational in Dis-trict Doda. This estate has allocated land to ten units, providing employment to 60 indi-viduals.
Additionally, new Industrial Estates are being transferred to J&K SICOP for allocation to prospective investors.
The minister noted that 21.6 Kanals of land at Kandhote Thathri, Doda, under Khasra No. 393, and 70 Kanals at Village Khursari, Bhaderwah, are available for development.
Moreover, a request for the transfer of state land measuring 110 Kanals and 15 Marlas under Khasra No. 472 at Village Phagsu, District Doda, has been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Doda for the establishment of an Industrial Estate.
Furthermore, the employment generated under the PMEGP and REGP schemes in District Doda from 2020-21 to 2024-25 (ending on March 10, 2025) includes 950 cases disbursed under PMEGP (KVIB), resulting in 7,600 jobs created; 1,556 cases disbursed under PMEGP (DIC), leading to 5,694 jobs; and 180 cases disbursed under REGP (KVIB), generating 1,134 jobs.
The minister reiterated that there is no proposal for a comprehensive strategy or plan similar to the Rehbar-e-Taleem policy currently under consideration in the Industries and Commerce Department.
