Srinagar, Jan 26: To enhance awareness and outreach, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is set to organize Nidhi AapkeNikat 2.0 simultaneously at three different venues across the region on January 29, 2024. The program aims to sensitize employers and employees on the provisions of social security while addressing crucial themes such as filing grievances, fraud prevention, digital services, and the rights of employees concerning their employers.
The three venues for the program are the DC Office in Kishtawar, Jammu; Town Hall Pahalgam, Anantnag, Srinagar; and the CMO Office, Training Hall, Kargil, Leh. The initiative seeks broad-based participation, awareness, grievance redressal, and an exchange of information closer to the stakeholders of EPFO.
Rizwan Uddin, the P F Commissioner, emphasized the importance of active participation from subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees’ representatives, and industrial chambers. District Nodal Officers, Devinder Singh EO/AO, Lateef Ahmed Zargar EO/AO, and Sandip Kumar SS, will address the program in Jammu, Kashmir, and Leh, respectively.
The program in Kishtwar will specifically address major contractors engaged in Power Projects, organized in coordination with Chenab Valley Power Projects Ltd. Authorities from CVPPL, NHIDCL, District Administration, and School education will be sensitized by P F Commissioner Rizwan Uddin.
The program will focus on creating awareness about EPFO schemes, addressing queries and grievances, and obtaining feedback and suggestions from stakeholders. The participants will be made aware of key initiatives such as e-Nomination, Online Claim Filing, Principal Employer Dashboard, and Updation of KYC in UAN. Handholding sessions will sensitize employers about PF provisions and modalities.
It will also cover essential aspects such as member enrollment, UAN activation, bank & Aadhaar seeding, online claim filing, e-nominations, e-sign, filing ECR, and other relevant issues related to EPFO, as desired by officers or stakeholders.
EPFO said it is actively engaged in providing “Social Security” services and benefits, including the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, and an increased quantum (up to Rs seven lakh) of Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976. These benefits have been available to employees in the Union territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019. The EPFO offices in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh welcome valuable suggestions during the Nidhi Aapke Nikat program, demonstrating their commitment to a participatory and responsive approach.
