L Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister asserted that the implementation of new criminal laws will usher in a transformative era for the nation’s justice system.

These comprehensive reforms are designed to ensure swifter justice, enhance transparency, and provide greater protection for the rights of citizens.

In a statement issued here today,  Kavinder Gupta stated, “The introduction of these new criminal laws is a historic step towards creating a more robust and efficient legal system in India. These laws are designed to enhance the effectiveness of our judiciary, protect the rights of individuals, and ensure that justice is delivered in a timely and transparent manner.”

The three new criminal laws being implemented today included The New Penal Code, The Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Act and The Evidence Act (Amendment) Act.

The senior BJP leader emphasized that these laws are a testament to the BJP government’s commitment to reforming the criminal justice system and providing a safer environment for all citizens. He praised Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah for their visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to improving the nation’s legal infrastructure.

“These reforms reflect the government’s proactive approach in addressing the challenges faced by our judicial system. They will not only ensure that justice is delivered more efficiently but also instill greater confidence among the public in the rule of law,” he added.

The former deputy Chief Minister urged all stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, legal professionals, and the judiciary, to work collaboratively in implementing these laws effectively.

He reiterated the BJP’s resolve to continue working towards building a stronger and more just India.
