Coming down heavily on the National Conference (NC) for advocating talks with Pakistan, the BJP on Sunday said that it (NC) should talk to the people of J&K and work for finding solution to the people’s problems rather than insisting on talks with the neighboring country.

The strong reaction from the BJP came after NC advocated for talks with Pakistan in its manifesto.

“Holding talks Pakistan or any other country is the prerogative of the central government and NC is no body to say that talks must be held with Pakistan,” J&K BJP President, Sh. Ravinder Raina, said in response to questions by media persons during a press conference held today afternoon at Hotel Ritz.

The NC should reach out to the people of J&K and its leaders should talk to the people, listen to their problems and work for solving them rather than poking its nose in the foreign affairs, which is the sole prerogative of the Prime Minister and the central government, Sh. Ravinder Raina said.

“Can NC guarantee that there would be no bloodshed in J&K by Pakistan sponsored terrorists in J&K after holding talks with neighboring country and no innocent lives would be lost thereafter?” Sh. Ravinder Raina questioned.

He also said that the Opposition alliance be it Gupkar or be it INDI, would suffer crushing defeat in the Assembly elections in J&K like it faced in the Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ensured long lasting peace in J&K and unprecedented development has taken place here in the last 10 years of BJP rule, Sh. Ravinder Raina said.

The Gorkhas, the Valmikis Samaj, Giddis, Sippies, Paharis, West Pak Refugees (WPR), other refugees and many other sections got justice under the Modi Government, Raina said.

“The BJP is getting overwhelming support from the people all across J&K and we will register an emphatic victory in the upcoming Assembly elections,” Sh. Ravinder Raina said.

Union minister and J&K Election Incharge, Sh. G Krishna Reddy, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh, MP Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Ministers, Sh. Kavinder Gupta & Dr Nirmal Singh, and BJP Media Incharge Dr Pardeep Mahotra were also present during the press conference.
