Jammu, Sep 05: BJP spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania on Tuesday said that nations flourish where martyrs are respected.
Pathania addressed a series of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ programmes at Kathua, Hiranagar, Billawar, Ramkote, Majalta, Jaganoo, Tikri and Ramnagar. He visited a series of war memorials as well as houses of martyrs with a view to collect soil from there and to send it to Kartavya Path, New Delhi, where a glorious war memorial is going to be constructed.
“PM Modi ji shall himself start raising of the war memorial,” he said in a statement, adding, “The sterling efforts of our brave soldiers stand in letters of gold in the history of India. Their supreme sacrifice embodies the very essence of the driving force to offer their life for the cause of the nation, its boundaries, its people and its esteem and glory.”
Pathania said the entire focus of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh has been designed to invoke the national patriotic fervor and to remember and invigorate the glory and grace of martyrs. “Martyrs, those who willingly sacrifice their lives for a greater cause, hold a sacred place in the heart of any nation. In the annals of history, the role of martyrs in our country’s development and their identity is profound,” he said.
The kalash yatras were taken followed by ‘panch pran’ pratigyas with people deposing that they will be strive for unity and integrity of India, making India a developed nation, bring India out of colonial mindset, resurrecting rich heritage and ideals of our country.
