Srinagar, Oct 03: Senior BJP leader and chief spokesperson for party’s Minority Morcha, Hilal Jan Tuesday welcomed the scheduled visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, Jan said Shah will pay obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine at Katra, address two mega rallies- one at Baramulla, chair high level security review meeting, and review developmental activities.
He said that Shah will arrive in Jammu in the evening and will meet a few delegations. Senior BJP leaders are also expected to meet him to discuss the political situation in J&K, Jan said.
Jan added the Home Minister will speak about various developmental activities undertaken by the Centre and will also speak about new steps taken by the Centre Government on the developmental front.
Hilal Jan further said Shah’s visit to Kashmir would boast the morale of party workers in Kashmir.
