Srinagar, Oct 24: Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) has announced that a number of online services have been launched for the benefit of the general public.
The SDA announced in a notification that it has begun offering various services, including applications for the transfer of leasehold rights, in an online format.
According to a source familiar with the project, more online services will be launched in the coming months for the benefit of the public. This will allow people to access the services from the comfort of their own homes and avoid having to appear in person unless specifically requested or required.
As per the notification, the Application for transfer of leasehold rights, Transfer of ownership rights/addition, deletion of name in the allotment, lease and license, Application for a mortgage of property for raising financial assistance for construction/renovation of residential house, Application for grant of no dues certificate and Application for allotment of Strip of land available to adjacent plot services can be availed by visiting the web portal https://www.sdaseryices.in . Besides, it has stated that the link is also available on the SDA web portal https : //sdasrinagar.jk,gov. in under the E-Governance tab.
Notably, the SDA’s goal is to carry out Master Plan recommendations to ensure that the city develops in a planned manner. According to the J&K Development Act of 1970, a master plan is an overarching document that covers all aspects of development, including housing, traffic and transportation, physical infrastructure like electricity, sewerage, drainage, and water supply, social infrastructure like education, health security, and religion, as well as tourism, trade and commerce, industry, commercial recreation, and others. To prevent unplanned growth, new colonies, amusement parks, recreational areas, shopping malls, and parking lots are built in accordance with the established planning standards.
The Authority’s objectives are to encourage and ensure the planned development of the local area for which it was established, and to that end, the Agency has the authority to buy, hold, manage, and sell real estate, conduct building, and engineering projects, carry out other tasks related to the provision of water and electricity, the disposal of sewage, and other services and amenities, among other things.
