Srinagar, Aug 31: Islamia College Srinagar marked “World Entrepreneurs Day” with a dynamic event dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students. The celebration included a series of insightful activities designed to inspire and educate the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The students of MBA, 2nd Semester conceived the idea and under the leadership of Dr. Tarooq A. Ganie, Director, Management Studies of ICSC marked the day a success.
On the onset Professor (Dr) Tehmina Yosuf, Principal of Islamia College Srinagar, highlighted the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial skills and creativity among students. She said that, World Entrepreneurs Day serves as an excellent reminder of the role innovation and entrepreneurship play in driving economic growth and social change.
Further, she added that such events concluded with a networking session, allowing students to connect with industry professionals and potential mentors. Islamia College Srinagar remains committed to supporting and encouraging entrepreneurial talent through ongoing initiatives and programs.
The day featured with a keynote address from prominent business leaders and successful personality, Irtif Lone, Start-Up Ecosystem Specialist and Dawar Mir, Founder of Ziraat Agro Venture who shared their journeys and experiences in the world of entrepreneurship. Thay said that such workshops and panel discussions focused on innovative business strategies, startup challenges, and the importance of resilience in business. The series of event where ached by Taqueem Sahkeel and Tehzoor Mukhtar both Students of 2nd Semester Management Studies of Islamia College.
The college also hosted a startup showcase, where student-led ventures presented their business ideas to a panel of experts. This provided a platform for budding entrepreneurs to gain valuable feedback and explore potential opportunities for growth. Question/ Answer session was modulated by Dr. Nasreen & Professor Saba Matoo faculty from management studies, ICSC.
