Srinagar, May 19: National Conference (NC) Chief Spokesperson and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq on Monday met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat here to address urgent needs within his constituency and the larger Srinagar district.
In the meeting, Sadiq raised the issue of allocating new fire stations in Zadibal constituency and the urgent need to augment infrastructure including macadamisation of roads throughout the city.
Specifically, he requested the immediate allocation of fire stations in New Colony Lal Bazar, Bhrar Bagwanpora, and Mir Behri Dal (Nagaland Ground) to improve response times to frequent fire incidents in the area, a statement issued here said.
The MLA emphasised the urgent need for the Housing and Urban Development Department to authorise and commence road resurfacing (macadamisation) work in Srinagar.
“CM Omar assured Sadiq of the government’s commitment to addressing these critical issues promptly. He reiterated the government’s full support for Srinagar’s development initiatives, highlighting the importance of improvements to drainage, healthcare, sanitation, road connectivity, and transportation,” the statement said.
