Jammu, Jan 23: A boy from Chatroo area of Kishtwar area in Jammu region was Tuesday detained by Police for posting derogatory content on social media about Ram Temple.
The boy being detained by Police is aged between fifteen (15) to sixteen (16) years. He is a resident of Chatroo-Kishtwar. The minor boy posted derogatory content (remarks) on social media about Ram Temple at Ayodhya, a day after the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) ceremony.
“We detained the boy and he was produced in the court,” SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal informed Rising Kashmir, while adding, “A FIR has been registered at Chatroo Police Station and further investigation into the matter has been going on”.
The minor, who posted derogatory content on social media about Ram Temple, is now under the observation of the court and Police has started its investigation, the SSP said.
The Cyber Cell of Police has been continuously monitoring all social media activities and strict action will be taken against those posting derogatory, anti-national, anti-social and other content which has the potential of vitiating the peaceful atmosphere and violating cyber laws, the SSP said.
