Baramulla, June 19: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, and Minister for Agricultural Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, Javed Ahmad Dar, today reviewed developmental activities of Baramulla district here at Dak Bungalow Baramulla.

The meeting aimed to assess the effective implementation of various developmental programs and schemes under the District Capex Budget 2024–25.

Minister Javed Rana, who is also Minister Incharge of District Baramulla conducted a comprehensive review of sector-wise schemes, along with Minister Javed Dar, seeking detailed status reports on individual projects from department heads.

Rana directed all Heads of Departments to conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of projects, maintaining quality and accountability. He directed Deputy Commissioner to proactively involve people representatives in all developmental activities in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, presented a comprehensive overview of the district’s developmental landscape, highlighting financial and physical progress.

He informed that the district has achieved significant progress, with 94% implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and 88% of targeted expenditure for the financial year 2024-25.

MLAs from various constituencies raised key public grievances and developmental demands, including road macadamization, access to potable water, and street lighting. The Ministers assured timely redressal and action on these demands.
